DC stopped Batman from going down on Catwoman in animated series
I never thought Batman’s sex life would even be a topic of discussion but yet here we are. It all came about when a racy scene was recently deleted from season 3 of the Harley Quinn animated series. The scene in question depicted Batman going down on Catwoman and it’s swift deletion by DC has led fans to question whether superheroes are selfish lovers. The news was revealed by the co-creator and executive producer Justin Halpern of the ‘Harley Quinn’ series, Justin Halpern who said that DC aggressively blocked the scene. Here’s Justin Halpern had to say about the situation:
“It’s incredibly gratifying and free to be using characters that are considered villains because you just have so much more leeway. A perfect example of that is in this third season of ‘Harley’ when we had a moment where Batman was going down on Catwoman. And DC was like, ‘You can’t do that. You absolutely cannot do that. ’They’re like, ‘Heroes don’t do that.’ So, we said, ‘Are you saying heroes are just selfish lovers?’ They were like, ‘No, it’s that we sell consumer toys for heroes. It’s hard to sell a toy if Batman is also going down on someone.”

Sounds a bit of a cop out excuse to me. The cartoon is clearly aimed at an adult audience so I don’t know why they brought the merch into it. Then again, I guess DC has the final say and if they don’t want Batman getting a face full of minge then that’s their prerogative. However, if you thought it was all over, think again, because Zack Snyder then waded in and if anyone knows the inner workings of Batman it’s him. Snyder reckons that Batman is actually pretty generous in the bedroom and has absolutely no qualms in ripping off Catwoman’s knickers and going in for a munch.
