You would think after all these years in the XXX, phone sex<\/a> and porn industry we would be familiar with all the different kind of sex positions out there but it seems we aren\u2019t as well versed as we would like to think. It\u2019s just been brought to our attention that there is a brand new sex position and it is known as the Clamping Koala. It was published in a new sex guide but be warned, it\u2019s not for the faint-hearted. In fact it\u2019s prompted quite a few complaints.<\/p>\n

What is the Clamping Koala?<\/b><\/p>\n

The Clamping Koala involves sitting facing your partner, legs crossed at the ankle, with the option to lean back. It\u2019s kind of like a yoga pose.<\/p>\n

Is it an exercise?\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

Not quite. It could definitely be classed as a workout but it certainly isn\u2019t something you\u2019d want to attempt in your local gym.<\/p>\n

What exactly is it then?\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

It\u2019s a sex position. It\u2019s actually one of 60 listed in a comprehensive sex guide produced by Norwegian public TV broadcaster NRK<\/a>. Other positions listed include good old missionary, spaghetti, silkworm, wheel of fortune and the flamingo.<\/p>\n

WTF is the flamingo?\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

You can probably guess that this one involves standing on one leg. It\u2019s all illustrated in the NRK guide if you\u2019re interested or you could just use your imagination. It\u2019s all very classy, black and white photographs. Not in the slightest bit like porn unfortunately.<\/p>\n

Why are there so many positions?\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

Some of the positions listed might not be applicable to you as some are aimed more towards same sex couples but feel free to peruse the pics and choose something fun for you and your partner to try. There are also positions that are perfect for people who suffer with chronic back and knee pain.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s all pretty great really. There\u2019s no such thing as being too open and too inclusive between consenting adults. However, you can\u2019t always please everyone and there have been a few complaints since NRK released it\u2019s sex guide – 97 to be exact, which considering it\u2019s been seen by 850,000, isn\u2019t too bad really. If we all had more sex and complained less we\u2019d all bit a lot happier.<\/p>\n
